2. Consequences are necessary, v. 14-19

The Consequences of No Consequence…

a) irresponsible adults
b) more of the same
c) difficulty with social norms
d) impaired decision making ability 
e) over reliance on parents

3. Stay on the porch, v. 20

4. Beware of the style of relating, v. 21-24

Two dominant styles of relating:

a) transactional
b) relational

5. Never allow your children to be self-righteous, v. 25-32


Mental worship…
1 How does your children’s behavior affect the way you relate to them?
2 Which do your kids currently enjoy more, the resources or the relationship?
3 What core convictions do you want to instill in your kids before they leave home? 
4 What do you count on to motivate change in your children? 
5 Do you allow your children to experience consequences?
